Dangerous Beggars

Standard

Recently whenever I was stuck in a traffic jam or when I was waiting at a traffic signal I had to face these DANGEROUS beggars. These are not the normal beggars who will simply go away if you ignore them or just say go,  instead they will scold you at your bottom and it’s very embarrassing situation as you can’t get into a quarrel with them because of two reasons,  one being you are driving so you can’t stop your car on mid road and get into a fight  and the second reason is these people can really go to any level when in a fight so we tend to ignore them. I
Yes, I am talking about the eunuchs. These days they have plagued all many traffic signals,  railway stations etc.  If you don’t give the money they will directly scold you “SOOLE MUNDE, HALAGI HOGU” which in kannada means “SON OF A BITCH GET LOST” isn’t this so bad? Why can’t they make a decent way for leading their life.. At least be courteous while begging if can’t take up anything else in life.

Macro Shots

Standard

Not a great photographer nor do I spend too much on cameras and stuff,  but one thing I surely enjoy is macro shooting,  I tend to get more satisfaction in macro photography,  the reason is simple,  I don’t have to go far searching for nice spots, I can shoot anything that is available within my house or near by such as flowers,  insects and so. Here are some samples from that I clicked using my phone camera, these have come out well than expected.

Beaches of Goa

Standard

Goa – the name says it all. Its a place to relax, rest and enjoy. Goa as someone rightly said is the Miami of India 🙂 I usually visit Goa almost every year, if not every alternate year for sure.

This time when we visited Goa, although it was a very short trip, we stayed around different places, Colva, which is near Madgaon and Vagator, which is in the northern part of Goa. It was not a very long stay though but it was surely a good and memorable one.

Few places we visited includes,

  • Colva Beach
  • Devaki Krishna Ravalnath Temple – Marcela, Goa
  • Vagator Beach
  • Calangute Beach
  • Anjuna Beach
  • Aguada Fort
  • Chapora Fort
  • Palolem Beach

Unfortunately the time we reached Aguada fort, it was closed so we had to see it only from outside. I don’t know why such tourist places get closed by 5.30PM like a government office 😦

Pardon, if the naming the picture wrongly. Just below the Aguada fort, there is a jail and this was captured just there. The sea there was very rash but it was beautiful, I collected many pebbles there which are in my aquarium now

This one, Palolem beach is the beach you should visit if you do not like crowds, usually this beach is very less crowded as not many people know about it. The beach is located exactly at the Goa-Karnataka border and very near from Karwar. The sea there is very shallow and steep so have to be very careful but the water is very clean and cold.

Nearby Plant Nursery

Image

I always enjoy visiting places that are close to nature. Places such as nurseries, gardens, lakes etc.

I had to visit the near by plant nursery some time back to get a specific herb called Tulsi which has religious importance among Hindus. This herb is worshipped as a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi and there is a specific month in the Hindu calender when this plant is worshipped.

I had to visit the nursery twice because the first time the plant I got was destroyed by a rat which are in abundance near my place. So this time we made sure to put the plant over the canopy and at a safe place where the rats can’t reach 🙂

I could click this beautiful picture from the nursery.

Mysore Zoo – Few Captures Here too

Standard

This time, when we visited Mysore for Dasara, we could visit the Mysore Zoo as well, no doubt it was over crowded but had to visit it for my two and half old daughter’s sake, who could identify few animals now and luckily I could show her few and capture few as well. I would suggest you buy online tickets for the zoo, if you visit the zoo during dasara to avoid standing on the ticket queue.

So here are the captures,
