Goa – the name says it all. Its a place to relax, rest and enjoy. Goa as someone rightly said is the Miami of India 🙂 I usually visit Goa almost every year, if not every alternate year for sure.
This time when we visited Goa, although it was a very short trip, we stayed around different places, Colva, which is near Madgaon and Vagator, which is in the northern part of Goa. It was not a very long stay though but it was surely a good and memorable one.
Few places we visited includes,
- Colva Beach
- Devaki Krishna Ravalnath Temple – Marcela, Goa
- Vagator Beach
- Calangute Beach
- Anjuna Beach
- Aguada Fort
- Chapora Fort
- Palolem Beach
Unfortunately the time we reached Aguada fort, it was closed so we had to see it only from outside. I don’t know why such tourist places get closed by 5.30PM like a government office 😦
Throughout Goa, you will find this type of view and the backwaters and the swamps.. so beautiful
Pardon, if the naming the picture wrongly. Just below the Aguada fort, there is a jail and this was captured just there. The sea there was very rash but it was beautiful, I collected many pebbles there which are in my aquarium now
What you see behind is a jail and I never want to get into it:)
Chapora fort, a beautiful and must visit place if you are in northern part of Goa but be ready to climb the hill, its a very steep 500-600 meters that you may have to climb and its very slippery due to rocks so be carefull
This is the view you will be rewarded for climbing those 500 meters
The outer wall of the Chapora fort
Could not spend much time here but this beach looked more or less like the one in Mumbai
This one, Palolem beach is the beach you should visit if you do not like crowds, usually this beach is very less crowded as not many people know about it. The beach is located exactly at the Goa-Karnataka border and very near from Karwar. The sea there is very shallow and steep so have to be very careful but the water is very clean and cold.
Hope you got a good glimpse of Goa 🙂
